This diet, is not necessarily a purposeful weight-loss diet, more of a healthy diet to help the mind function better and to hold back the onset of dementia and loss of memory problems. This way of eating does not focus on counting calories, or giving up the foodstuff you love and may have eaten most of your life, but it goes without saying that a good, healthy, fresh diet is the best way of looking after, not only your mind and memory but your body and your everyday health also\u2026 So here goes\u2026 Green leafy vegetables need to be eaten almost every day, while going somewhat easier on root vegetables. Fruit is recommended but not too much owing to the number of natural sugars within although, all sorts of berries are the best for you as they have a lot of antioxidants that are excellent for your brain health. Nuts, wholegrains, oily fish, beans and poultry are recommended along with olive oil, but the amount to eat is not specified although, it goes without saying that a variety of each is good throughout the week but again, not too much of anything. What the mind diet concentrates more on is what food should be limited and what isn\u2019t recommended. For example, cut down on high fat food, like butter\/margarine, use olive oil for cooking instead. Small amounts of cheese should be limited to once a week or less, limit red meat, fried food, takeaways, along with cakes and sweets and anything sugar laden. No one needs their brain and thought processes weighed down with fat and unhealthy food items, so eat well and enjoy, but keep tabs on the amount of food you are taking in, otherwise your weight could soar and that could trouble your mind.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice: If you are unsure of your diet, please consult your doctor or health advisor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mind diet.
