In my previous article, I spoke of how many people expect to get everything they want, and of course that is great, if finances allow. I am not referring to you having to build up unsustainable debt, I mean that if you can truly afford the goods you want, then go ahead and enjoy, but there are other things that can enhance your life, as opposed to what you can purchase. For example, you cannot buy the ability to play an instrument, piano, guitar, drums? Yes, of course you can pay for lessons, but you cannot buy becoming super-proficient at your chosen instrument. It takes practice, practice, practice\u2026 You often see people walking \u2018out of control\u2019 dogs, so to get a furry friend to obey your commands takes practice, practice, practice!\u00a0 I once had a friend who wanted a job in a nearby shop, and each time he applied, the answer was NO, until one day the manager of the shop said, \u2018Oh, for heaven\u2019s sake! Ok, I will give you a two-week trial\u2019 to which my friend jumped at the chance and ended up working in his favourite shop for years. Many people become very frustrated if they can\u2019t get what they want fast, or they become annoyed if things don\u2019t work-out to their satisfaction, or worst of all, they give up trying to train their dog, or practicing playing the guitar, because the results they are looking for don\u2019t happen quickly enough. However, nothing ever happens as you would like if you are not prepared to be persistent. To get what you truly want in life, isn\u2019t always going to be easy, first and foremost what you want to achieve, has to be physically possible, for example, you are not going to be able to run a marathon in an hour, as that is physically impossible. Once you have stopped growing you cannot grow another meter. But almost anything that is physically possible, with grit, and determination and of course persistence you can achieve. You may not be able to achieve perfection, but you can be the best you can be and achieve as much as is possible for you \u2013 providing you are and remain persistent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
