Hmm! A difficult one, I am not sure how we would know if we were courageous or not, let\u2019s face it, many people would only have to see a spider or a mouse and they would feel like running a mile\u2026 a bee or wasp? A menacing dog? Walking out alone on a dark night? \u00a0Err, see what I mean! I can remember one time flying up a flight of steps to the entrance of a hospital having heard that my dad had been taken ill, on returning to my car my scared mother turned to me and said, \u2018You are so brave!\u2019 I wouldn\u2019t have thought my actions were one bit \u2018courageous\u2019 at all, but perhaps to my mother it appeared so, as I obviously didn\u2019t know what news I would have to hear. So, what is bravery and courage? I would think it only shows, when we are concerned about others, courage is instinctive, for as a rule, we act out of fear for someone else. Even on receipt of a devastating diagnosis, people will often act with extreme courage to save their nearest and dearest fright and sadness. Being courageous, is having the mental willingness to face danger, pain, fear, uncertainty, and take on new and unknown challenges. Of course, fear is always at the root of any problem, or difficulty, but to face fear you have to purposely move out of your comfort zone, and tackle what is, or might lie ahead. Standing up and being courageous is a wonderful moral stance to show and pass on to those around you. Your courage will help those who love you stand strong in your wake. Even your pets, will be less anxious if they feel that their leader is strong, determined and unafraid. So, face that spider, or mouse, they are probably more afraid of you that you are of them, a bee or a wasp will very seldom attack you unless they fear for their own lives. An alarming dog, will seldom attack, if you stand still, upright and firm, and walking out alone? Well, my advice is to either don\u2019t go out alone, or if you have to or need to, walk briskly, stand tall and show courage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
