We all need food to fuel our bodies, but like everything else ingested, problems can arise when we eat more food than we actually need to live a healthy life. Our bodies are designed to cope with toxins and other body invaders, but it can only cope efficiently if the body isn’t overloaded with multiple toxins from large amounts of food that the body doesn’t need. As a species we are natural hunters and gatherers so our bodies can cope with the occasional overload, but a natural hunter would only overload their body from time to time, not everyday of the week as happens today, plus, most overeaters eat foodstuff that is not healthy. Obesity is a huge problem in the UK today and has been getting worse over the years, even some young people and children are over-eating and many lack exercise too, exercise that would use up some of the excess calories and toxins. So, what food items do we need to avoid if we don’t want to fill ourselves full of toxins? Well, unfortunately, it is the food stuff we all eat most regularly that carry the most toxins, chemicals, bacteria, and poisons. They are, Fish, Red Meat, Dairy products, (milk, eggs, cheese, etc.) and canned foods. However, if we control our consumption of these food items, our body is well able to cope. Plus, there are lots of food items that you can eat that will help your body purify itself of many of these unwanted by-products. To keep your body clean and healthy you need to offset your food intake with lots of exercise, vegetables and fruit which will help maintain a healthy balance of nutrients whilst cleansing and refreshing. Some of the food items that will help purify your body are apples, onions, lemons, grapes, olive oil and green salads. We will be looking at more healthy foods in the next few articles.
