In these busy times of over-work and stress we all need a place where we can go for some rest and relaxation, a place where we can feel safe and at ease, with no pressure. An easy space that doesn’t clutter up the mind, a gentle area where we can just sit and relax in the moment. If you are fortunate enough to have a garden, this is where you can create and find your quiet space or, you can even find a quiet space on a balcony. Any place that you can escape to for peace of mind and a relaxed body. A place that is easy on the eye, with small features that you can focus on that helps you feel easy. In this series of articles, I look forward to bringing forth ideas, and design techniques that can help you create the resting place of your dreams. Just imagine, sitting back in a comfortable garden chair, or recliner… having no rubbish, junk or broken items within view, no dead or dying bushes, plants or flowers, to be able to hear the birds singing, perhaps, see butterflies, bees buzzing, or have your favourite pet sitting at your feet. Mmmm… yes, that is what I wish for you, my friend.
