The joy of being at peace.

Emotions: Peace.

Over the last eleven weeks, I have looked at most of our major emotions, what they are and how we can deal with them to make life as easy and as tranquil as possible. For my last emotion I have saved the best till last which is peace. I think to be at peace with oneself, our family, friends, and the world is what we should all be aiming for. To be at peace means we are relaxed, contented and we have accepted our place, mission in life, and the reason why we are here on earth. To be content with our lot is very rewarding, it means that we are not envious of anyone else and what they have. We have accepted our achievements and failings and we can relax and know that we have done the best we can. Of course, we can try to do more! Achieve more, make life better for our family and friends. We can try our best to be healthy, we can try not to put ourselves in too much danger, by being aware of all the possible risks around us, whilst still being calm and relaxed about it all. If we always do our best, try never to put anyone down, and step-up when help and support is needed, at the end of the day we can go to sleep feeling that we have done all we can to make life, not only easy for ourselves, but for those around us – we can be at peace. It is said that ‘The happiest person isn’t the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.’  So let us be at peace my friend.
