Virtues: Loyalty.

Loyalty has a wonderful quality, especially to others. It helps build faith and security. Here are five ways you can practice and find loyalty in your life.   Be loyal to your loved-ones and friends. Being loyal to one’s family and acquaintances helps to build strong relationships. There are times in our lives when we need to offload our troubles and problems to someone else, but we need someone we can trust, is that you? Do you trust yourself?  Do you trust yourself to be loyal to someone else. Do you prefer people not to tell you some of their more intimate troubles and problems?  If that is so, please avoid those whose lives appear to be frightening or chaotic.   Can you keep a secret? Do you know yourself enough to know if you can keep a secret. To feel sure that if someone tells you something personal then asks you not to tell anyone else. If you feel it almost impossible to keep a secret, it may be helpful for you to either write it down on a piece of paper then burn or shred it, or tell this secret to someone who does not know or has no contact with the person who told you the secret in the first place. Its, not really being loyal but at least you are trying hard.   Are you prone to gossip and fault-find? No loyalty there if you do gossip, and find fault with other people, and you are sure to be known for the fact. Consequently, you may find that people do not confide in you and you will only find out about things through third parties.  Will a family member or friend tell you their most intimate problems?  If they do, you can feel confident in the fact that they trust you with their lives… Even if a close contact tells you something worrying or frightening, it really isn’t down to you to pass it on to others… However, a trusting person will welcome your advice perhaps, your loyalty and support.   Be assured that to be trusted by a loved-one or friend, is one of the most precious gifts you can hold dear in your life: To be able to know something about someone and never be tempted to divulge that secret to anyone else is a worthy virtue indeed…
