Well now… you are looking at yourself under a microscope, and what do you see? Are you searching for faults and worrying traits? And, no matter how hard you look you cannot find any? So, if you are great, with a mountain of positive characteristics that is fine! However, some may think that if you consider yourself to be so perfect, you might as well go and love yourself as there might not be anyone who could love you like you do. On the other hand, perhaps you are the sort of person who, at the other end of the scale, don’t like what you see of yourself at all. Do you always find fault with yourself? Are you always wishing that you were different? Hopefully. you are an inbetweener, where you have a few characteristics, you don’t like but you are reasonably happy with the rest. Bit of a tongue-in-cheek writing here, but seriously, I would think that most people are reasonably happy with themselves, and the way they are, but if you have some doubts about some traits then you need to take a good look at these features to see if you can change the way you might have always lived your life. I am sure the majority of people can change some of their ways through experience. For example, not to lend money again, not to be quick to temper, not to be too easy-going, to think before you speak more, to resist a habit that may be making you put on weight, not drinking so much, helping at home more, being more thoughtful to others, there are many things that you are in the habit of doing that you may not like, but they are usually the easy ways you can change if you want to. But there are some things about yourself that no matter what you did, you would not be able to change. These ways are you! If you didn’t do the things you do, those who love you may not recognise you, so, be sure to keep some of your natural ways and just forgive yourself and accept what you cannot change.
