Healing: Keep Moving.

Exercise cannot actually cure any illness but it can help prevent illnesses occurring in the future and it can also help to manage some conditions. Regular exercise can help to reduce the risk of major illnesses such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease, it also lowers the chance of suffering an early death. I have approached this article, in a gentle way, not suggesting that you do a major workout five days a week, but rather you try to move as much as possible as opposed to sitting around most of the time… Even if you have a sedentary occupation as many people have today, that where they seem to spend most of their working hours sitting at a computer or other electronic device, may I suggest that when you do take a break, rather than flop down on the sofa, your body will be grateful for a walk, even if it’s literally a walk around the block. Walking is just about the most easy, inexpensive and useful form of exercise you can have. Walking uses an enormous number of muscles and helps keep your bones, ligaments, joints and internal organs, heart, lungs, etc., in good condition. It is a well-known saying that ‘if you don’t use it, you lose it’ and that is so true, and that is also one of the reasons why older people succumb to painful problems in their hands, legs and feet. It is so tempting to stop moving if you have a painful condition, and of course you should seek help from your GP, but if possible, try to keep moving if you can for the condition you are suffering with will only get worse if you resort to being static, for even in a chair, a wheelchair, or a bed you can still try to move your head, neck, fingers, wrists, knees, ancles and feet if it’s not too painful… So, just keep moving.
