Before you can reset your life, you have to be able to understand your own mind and know how it works. Remember, that no one has the same thoughts, feelings and emotions as you. Have you ever wondered why when you have been to a see a film with a close friend, they may have thoroughly enjoyed the film whilst you have been left wondering? How could they have enjoyed that boring film eh? So, if our friend really enjoyed the film, why didn’t you? What about when you suggest going to China or India for a holiday, when our friend said they would prefer to go to Switzerland or somewhere like that for skiing? It just goes to show that two minds never think alike and, just say for instance, you decided to go skiing with your friend after all, would you have enjoyed it? I don’t know, but I can imagine that you may have thought it was brilliant, whilst your friend may have been disappointed… Our minds and thoughts are strange. Our thoughts often play games with us, which is mainly the reason we can end up being disappointed or bored with our lives. If, for instants, you have been invited to a party, the longer you have to wait before the event, the longer you have to think about it… If you are pleased to have been invited, your mind probably goes into overdrive and you continually imagine what fun you will have, how much you will enjoy the party, how well you will get on with all the other guests. With such a build-up, the chances are that you could end up disappointed with the whole thing, one of the reasons why not to let your mind go wild. However, stopping your thoughts and expectations going into overdrive takes control. Controlling your mind-games is the key to your life being, on the whole, happy and successful. So, keep your mind-games easy and relaxed as opposed to allowing them to run wild. Meaning, that if you expect too much you will probably get less, whereas, if you keep your expectations rational you will probably get more!
