Feng Shui:  Rivers and Streams.

Water from all source is precious to the feng shui devotee. Water is one of the five feng shui elements and it represents wealth, communication, and good luck. The creature that represents water is the turtle. Water is generally yin (feminine), but if the water flows fast, as in many rivers, and streams it is recognised as yang (masculine). Water is usually considered as having a gentle characteristic as it usually flows easily and gently around rocks and uneven ground. If you have a river or stream running by your property, and it flows easy it’s thought to bring good luck to your property, if it flows very fast, it could bring poor luck your way – so beware… Do not distract wild creatures or birds, from the sides of rivers or streams, and if possible, please remove any debris found in a river, stream or pond, and most important of all, please keep your children under strict control around the water-ways.
