Virtues: Caring.

Caring is fundamental to life itself, it’s an amazing virtue that can be shown in many different ways, through understanding, being sympathetic, helpful and loving, to name but a few. Here are five ways that you can offer love and care to others:  Do you feel concern for others: If you do then you are following in the footsteps of thousands of caring people who care for their own families, their neighbours and people they know through their social lives. Many offer help where needed, lifts to shops and hospitals, etc., do work for others for no reward, assist and help where they can. Can you help caring: No, I don’t think you can, it’s a natural trait, that begins to show at a very young age, most females are naturally caring because it’s in their biological makeup. Caring is instinctive and one often sees very young girls nursing their dollies, with the same care and look, that a mother shows to her new-born baby. Men do not usually display the same gentle care as a mother, but a good partner and father will display natural love, and protective care for the mother of his child, and his offspring.  Can you be too caring: Yes, most definitely you can… too much care can be overbearing and can take away a vulnerable person’s confidence. To care too much can sometimes, inhibit the life of the carer, whereby they become obliged to over-care, always be available, do everything the care-receiver requests, to the point where the carer becomes resentful, because they can see no way out of this over-caring situation. Too much care and protectiveness, is stifling, as people need to learn to live their life and protect themselves.    Do you care about yourself: To care for others, and to give your love, time, help, support, and aid, you need to care for yourself. You are the most important person; your life is invaluable to others if you are a caring individual, you are precious. To be strong enough to care for others from a very young age right up into advancing years, you must take great care of yourself always. Never put yourself in obvious danger. Eat well. Sleep well and avoid over indulgence in food, drink and unhealthy substances.  Are you in the right profession:  You can of course, utilise your caring nature wherever you are employed, be it, working at home raising your family, there are many opportunities to care. But if you need to be caring for most of your days, you may find it more rewarding to get work in a caring profession. There are many occupations and vocations that offer constant help to the needy, the sick and the dying, people who are worried or afraid, people who have no one and nothing. So, start looking.   Remember, caring comes naturally to most people but usually in different degrees: Most people care for their children, along with their nearest and dearest. Some people feel a great deal of care for those in society who have very little in life, no family, no money, or nowhere to lay their heads. Some people care about those in other countries whose lives are blighted by war and starvation. Some people care dearly about the environment, and quite frankly, there are some people who care about nothing, and no one at all…
