The plant-based diet encourages people to turn to more fibre-rich plant food whilst lowering their consumption of meat and fish products. Eating more vegetation than meat is well known to show an increase in better health by lowering body-fat and excess weight. Many years ago, people who took to a vegetarian type of diet were considered to be somewhat crazy but today, not only do we have a vast and growing number of vegetarians, but vegans also.
