Diets: CDP.

Commercial Diet Plans, are those you have to pay for, you can do some on line and some you need to meet up once a week so that you can check out your weight-loss progress, a place where you can get person to person advice, and socialise with others who maybe, desperate to lose weight and get healthy. I went to one such diet program many years ago, who promised me that I could lose around a stone (16lbs) in a matter of 8 weeks if I stuck to the plan, and believe me it worked…  I lost a whole stone in that time and I was presented with a gold card. The plan I followed counted calories, and is still going strong, I believe today it uses points for different food items, the higher the points the less of that food you eat, where very low or no points you can have as much as you like. Some commercial plans use colours, some use pyramid blocks, some send out ready, calorie counted meals, and so on. But whatever CD Plan you go for, you still have to have the backup of self-will, determination and strength to say no to that greasy takeaway, that bar of chocolate or that big piece of cake! But believe me, whatever diet plan you go for, almost any of them can work if you are prepared to put in the extra work yourself, and if you are successful and lose your goal-amount of weight, once it is done, there can be no going back to eating the way you did before. Losing weight isn’t really that difficult, it’s being able to maintain the weight loss after. It’s not a matter of being on a diet for the rest of your life, it is down to you to change your life-style and general eating choices.
