Diets: Low Carb.

Low carbohydrate diet:  This way of dieting sees you having to cut out some of our favourite foods, but if you are overweight and have a strong desire to lose weight then this is the diet for you… Too many food items containing carbohydrates plus the lack of exercise is what creates and holds onto body-fat. And of course, it goes without saying, that the more weight gained the less exercise is performed in a day. Being overweight for most people is difficult to manage, it can create body discomfort, loss of energy, tiredness and can seriously affect health, also, eating too many carbohydrates can become addictive, whereby, rather than satisfy general hunger, you eat and snack just for the comfort of it.  So, to help you lose weight, you need to restrict starchy food such as bread, potatoes, cakes, sweets, chocolate, sugary drinks and fatty take-aways.  Cutting out all carbohydrates creates a state of ketosis in the body, whereby the body starts to use your stored fat for energy, resulting in a loss of fat and weight. However, ketosis can create side effects that are not very pleasant, especially if you make a sudden change from a good deal of carbs to little or no carbs at all, so, if you are going to try out a low-carb diet, the best way is to gradually cut down as opposed to putting your body into shock.

Notice: If you are unsure of your diet, please consult your doctor or health advisor.
