DASH stands for “Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension.” There are no symptoms of high blood pressure so you do need to have your blood pressure taken by a health advisor. To help keep your blood pressure in check the DASH diet recommends eating a healthy diet of vegetables, fruit, nuts n seeds, low fat dairy products, wholegrains and small amounts of oil, meat, chicken and fish. The DASH diet advises its followers to avoid, red meat, high salt, high sugar products and processed foods.
